Today, Dave Degregorio took out David Lanning in the Insurance
Man Super Pro final by cutting a .007 light and running a 4.989 on
his 4.97 dial against Lanning's .022 light and 4.712 on a 4.68
dial. Degregorio had lost first round and bought back, so
unfortunately the win did not help him earn points to get ahead of
Jerry Gier who is still sitting in first place.
Mark Hammond had an easy win in the Masta Performance Pro class because Sam Manuele's car was broke and unable to come up for the final round. Mark broke the beams and backed off the line. However, Manuele's runner up finish was enough to keep him in first place and almost double the points of Mark Hammond who is currently in second place.
Johnnie Cook was .030 red in the Fleenor Racing Transmissions Sportsman final which gave the win to Joseph West who cut an .042 light. West is now tied with last week's winner Louis Jeffery for first place in the points.
In Super Pro Bike, Steve Mallett took the win when his son Greg Mallett's bike broke before the final. This father and son are making sure that everyone else in the class knows they are here to win. The Malletts are currently tied for the lead in the points, but Herb Baker is only one point behind them.
We are only two races in to this points series and it is already promising to be an interesting year and an exciting series to watch play out.
